I'm looking for a wall-mounted arm to hold mi 24" iMac

I want to mount my iMac on a wall-mounted monitor arm above my workbench. I do a fair amount of hammering on the bench itself, so I figure if I wall mount it, vibration to the iMac will be minimized.

The wall to the left of the bench is plaster over wood lath and the wall behind the bench is brick with a plaster skim coat.

If I mount it to the wall to the left, the arm has to extend 40" or so, while if I mount it to the brick wall, it only has to extend about 12".

Anyone have a good monitor arm to suggest?

A shelf that was close enough to the wall would make the screen 12" further from my eyes. One that was close enough would block a large portion of the surface of the bench.

Other than that, there's the aesthetics. The workbench is in the middle of my apartment, so I'd like to keep it attractive.

Make a shelf that's deep enough to put the front where you want it, but only a few inches wide.
