Since installing iOS 14.2 the Apple mail app cannot remember my Outlook email account password. Other accounts do not seem to be affected.
Is anyone else experiencing the issue?
This is the outlook server issue and not iPhone Settings. Password verification is done by the server. iPhone only stores and provides the data and verification process is done by the server.
As highlighted further up this thread it is a Microsoft issue and they are aware of it. Hopefully they will sort it soon.
It looks to me that the password is not saved on the device (keychain) perhaps as when I go to settings and re enter the password all is fine for a period of time. Any thoughts?
This behaviour is also apparent on iPads.
Having the same problem, it’s literally popping up every other hour asking for the password ever since the update. Like you say, password not saving to keychain
