Abode Flash Player on Mac Book Pro Mac OS High Sierra

I got a pop up from Flash player saying that as of Dec 2020 the app will no longer be supported and I should delete if I do not need the app? Do I need the app to run my Mac?

I am not really familiar with the apps needed for the mac platform. I am still relatively new to a mac computer.
