7th gen iPad speaker volume

Hello all, I’m just wondering if there’s a way to increase the volume on my 7th gen iPad’s speakers so I don’t have to wear my earbuds in order to hear things in videos such as whispering and the like? Is there an equalizer setting like on my iPhone where I can use the “nighttime” setting under music? I am running the most recent version of iOS (if this helps get me an answer, lol) & I’m still only able to hear really low sounds when using earbuds but it kinda hurts the ears after a while of wearing them, ya know? Anything in settings I’m not aware of that I can adjust for this? Thanks in advance! TTFN

Hi KLPeezIphone,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help adjusting the volume of your iPad for lower sounds late at night.

This would be the way to adjust the volume for your iPad: Adjust the volume on iPad. There wouldn't be an EQ for movies, but you can suggest that here: Product Feedback.

If you are finding the EarBuds uncomfortable, you may find an over the ear headphone easier to use. Apple does offer headphones in the Beats line that are both over and on ear:

Products - Beats by Dre. There are many third-party options as well.

Have a fantastic day!
