I cannot update 14os software on iPad Pro 9.7.

Tried several attempts to update 14.2os on my iPad Pro 9.7 (less than 2 yrs old), and it downloads, but gets slowed up in "preparing update",... before I get the "Failure" notice. I have turned off the Automatic updates and rebooted. No luck on any. BTW, I have plenty of memory. What else can be wrong?

Thank you, thank you. I have been trying for weeks on my own to upgrade my iPad Pro to 14os. After having no problems what-so-ever with updating my iMac and my iPhone, I was extremely frustrated with all the failures on my iPad.

After response from the support team, I connected my iPad directly to my iMac, found the device in Finder and then followed the instructions to update the iPad from my iMac. I had tried to do this before, but mistakenly connected and tried the updating process right on the iPad. This time I did it all from the iMac. It was simple, and it worked!

I cannot update 14os software on iPad Pro 9.7.
