no dolby vison apple tv app xbox one x

I also have noticed the same thing. My Xbox supports Dolby vision find. My Visio TV plays Dolby Vision movies on the Apple TV app on my tv, but the Xbox version only plays HDR10. My Xbox plays Dolby vision disney plus and Netflix but not Apple TV. Granted the app is brand new to Xbox so maybe it just isn’t added, might get added later

Same here. Also HDR10 is on all the time as soon as you open the app, so even SDR content is incorrectly put in an HDR10 container.

2021 and still no DV. Get it done already!

I am wondering the same thing. Just bought a new 4k TV that support both Dolby Vision and HDR10. I've confirmed Dolby Vision is working on my Xbox settings and also when I play content on Disney plus. As soon as I launch the Apple TV app on my Xbox, it switched to HDR10 and nothing is playing in Dolby Vision.

I though it was my tv that was broke haha but this issue is also seen on RokuTV 4k, it goes directly to HDR instead of DV, which is weird.

jferreiramx - Yes, it looks muddy. It looks better without HDR activated.

Of all developers in the world you would think apple would have this absolutely perfect. But sadly this is a subpar experience.

A shame because even on the app you get higher bitrates than the rest of streaming services.

Nov 25 and app still not does DV.

And does it do Dolby atmos? I don't see the message of Dolby Atmos when I play a movie.

So sad.

Also no DV on my Series S console. HDR10 switches on when I open the app. The worst part is even SDR content get played under HDR10 format. We need a hot fix as quick as possible.
