iPad storage

My I cloud drive is taking up 17GB Of my iPad (32GB) though I have additional iCloud storage of 50GB. How can I move my documents of iCloud Drive in iphone storage to iCloud storage

This statement doesn't make sense because once your documents are in iCloud drive they will be taking up iCloud storage. If you find you need to cull your iCloud storage - Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support.

The issue is not with storage space iCloud. I have around 36GB extra in icloud. The issue is with the storage space in my iPad. I save all my documents in iCloud Drive but somehow the iCloud Drive itself is consuming the storage space of my iPad. Like in that case what’s the point of purchasing the additional GB icloud at all. Please see the screenshot
