What happened to monthly challenges?

I recently switched from iPhone8 to the 11. I had a current backup of my phone on the cloud and used that to setup my new phone. When I go into Fitness, I can see all my badges with the exception of the monthly challenges.. those are all gone. Can the monthly challenges be restored?
