Do I have to cancel my order and make a new one?

I ordered a 13" macbook pro on nov 4, and the site said that it will be delivered by 16th of November, and now i wanted the order the newer one with the m1 instead of the older one, so i need to ask if the one i ordered got automatically updated or not? do i have to cancel the order and make a new one?

Last week I ordered a Macbook Air M2 online, to be delivered at an Apple store close to where I live (in France). Originally the delivery date was August 31th, which is okay since I'll be on holidays next week. Cancelling an already shipped package I put in an order for the new MBA on July 15th release date, with an estimated time of July 27th. For the past week and a half UPS just shows delay with no updates or estimated times. Pretty frustrating because all the Apple stores around me now have them on hand. last time I ordered a MBP online it took 3 months for me to get it because UPS lost it and then I got double charged because Apple sent a new one while the old package was still somewhere in UPS factory. Im really just wondering if I can just cancel this order and go pick one up in store because I do not want to go through this hassle with them again and I need it for school.

How long does custom Macbook pro usally take ? Hi I chatted with Apple today and i asked about a custom Macbook pro how long it takes they said it are seeing a month delay but when i go to the check out pages it shows Sept 21 to 23 if i order today but plan on ordering hopefully next month. Any else order a custom made macbook ? Also they said if i see that date is the date but they also add they seeing a month delay

The one you ordered will not be automatically changed. If you want a different model, cancel the existing order and order the other one. To cancel, see instructions in: https://www.apple.com/shop/help/viewing_changing_orders
