Bluetooth reject to connect my headphone after upadting to Big sur

I have a similar problem. Big Sur 11.0.1 broke my Bluetooth connection to my Sennheiser headphones. I reset both my headphones and my MacBook Pro but to no avail. The headphones appear on my computer, but they will not connect. Very frustrating.

I tried resetting NVRAM, PRAM and SMC,

tried removing bluetooth.plist from preferences,

And i dont have the HAL folder either,

Nothing works.

Mine is a Macbook pro 2020 Intel i7 it came with Big Sur 11.1.

Could be a hardware problem?

Had the same problem, tried this and it didn't fix it either. I've tried every Terminal and Activity Monitor solution I've found online, rebooted the Bluetooth and restarted the computer over 100x at this point, and nothing works. AirPods Pro and non-Apple headphones connect for 2-10sec, then disconnect. There isn't even a HAL folder in my Audio Plugins.

Glad you fixed it but you shouldn't need to use terminal to fix it!

I cannot get Terminal to respond. How do I run things in Terminal? No clue.

Thank you so much! This was super helpful and worked for me. I had the same issue with my Sony MDR-1000X headphones, only connected for a few seconds.

I was able to fix the problem with the following steps:

• Open Terminal app
• Type in: sudo rm -rf /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/HAL/
• Restart your iMac
