I don't find the option to ENCRYPT a drive (before was in the right-click menu).
I noticed this when Time Machine told me that it was writing an ENCRYPTED file onto a NON-ENCRYPTED device... But I couldn't find how to encrypt it.
I understand that now all is encrypted?
What are my options?

Thanks for keeping us updated. Using Disk Utility you can encrypt external devices once formatted. Make sure you're following the steps listed in the article below. You can also test after formatting using safe mode if you run into complications.

Thanks but I was interested to understand what had changed. Specially for external drives. Before Inhad the option to right click a newly formatted disk and press Encrypt. How does this work now? Thanks
Thanks. So now it can be done ONLY when formatting a new disk. Before I could right click on a disk icon I was already using and start to encrypt. Thanks
