how to change city on weather

Click once on date to right hand corner of screen. Click with 2 fingers together on Weather widget. Select Edit Weather. For Location click on Location and either select My Location or type in name of nearest town. Then click Done. Is that what you meant?

Thank you, this is the correct fix, but you should also note that if you chose MY LOCATION, you have to go to Security & Privacy in System Preferences to ensure the Weather app has been granted the right to use Location Services. This is good, thank you kindly for your response.

I'm having the same problem as OP.

The weather widgets don't seem to be allowing click through on "location" in edit mode.

Have tried all three sizes of widget too.

I had this issue too but it was solved by restarting my computer. Hope this works for you.

Clicking "Location" doesn't seem to do anything for me, it doesn't show options for selecting my location vs. a specific city.
