Verbatim External CD/DVD Writer

I have a Verbatim external slimline CD/DVD Writer, but the software is not compatible with the Catalina Mac OS on my lap top. I think it has to be that the Verbatim is a 32 bit application. What can I download to allow this to be used on my laptop? Thank you
