When I launch iMovie, it automatically loads all media that I have previously used! I want to start a fresh project and upload the images I intend to use. When I try to click on "projects" it asks me to give a filename to all of the material it has loaded. This is several previous projects. I am stuck.
How can I simply begin a new iMovie project?
I am using iMovie 10.1.9.

The "Create New" window should appear at the left side of the screen if you write a file name for your old project.
When I create a new iMovie project, I name it. Why am I still asked to rename the last project when I want to start a new one. My listing of projects has many empty ones. It should be simple to start up the software without it loading the project area with images used in the past. When I go back to a project to make changes there are many old images which I had to reject before starting a new project.
