Kik messenger pics turning blue

So when I try and send SOME pictures through the Kik messenger app, they turn blue. Not all, just some. They are normal color in my camera roll, and they are sometimes even normal color

in the chat as I am trying to attach them until I hit “send” and then they turn blue. It doesn’t matter if I attach them right in the messenger app or if I try and send them from the camera roll itself. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? I can’t find any info anywhere - it’s like I’m the only person having this problem. Kik of course says they cannot reply to emails right now. Frustrating.
