I was finally able to clean install Catalina then upgrade to Big Sur. Now when I run Migration Assistant in Big Sur, it displays that it is setting up, then my computer crashes. Anyone have ideas about how I can restore my Time Machine backup?

The most trouble free way to move to a new machine/ new clean macOS, is using the Setup Assistant on the initial boot— you have one shot here. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205749
If that opportunity has past, the second best way is use the Migration Assistant.
