iPhone 12 Pro Max volume buttons

It’s a manufacturing defect as few display phones don’t have that issue and few do! Ridiculous

Have the same issue! Just got the12 Pro Max, the lower volume button in almost flush with the phone, can visibly see it is lower than the up button and doesn't react or have the same click as they upper or as the phones normally do!! So upset with this, finally decided to upgrade from my 7plus

My volume down button is almost wedged in. It technically works but as other users have pointed out, there’s no feedback or click when you press the button.

Had my iPhone 12 Pro Max a week, considering getting a replacement while I still can under warranty but what’s the point if I’ll get another one with the same problem?

You have a one year warranty period (or longer, if you got AppleCare+) to get a replacement, so you have plenty of time to decide.

Don't worry about things like that.

I think it’s on all the IPhone 12s.. mine is like that too. Maybe it was meant to prevent accidental screen shots.

‘‘No phone has ever been made waterproof’’ this is correct. Compared with a normal mobile phone, will a mobile phone with a problematic volume key be weak in waterproof? Whether IP68 waterproof is available. We are concerned about this issue.

I replaced my iPhone 12 Pro because my lock button was soft. The lock button is fine on the replacement, but the volume up button is now soft. Considering replacing it again, but this might be an issue with all the iPhone 12 Pros.

My volume up button is defective on brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max. Every time I use it it turns the volume up to 100%. I'm just returning it and going back to my old phone. So fed up with apple and their poor QA.

Apple clearly needs to start replacing such devices with the perfect ones! There are many people who have this issue, also many people don’t even realise this issue & may be don’t even care as everything’s working. It’s a few like us may be who’re very finicky and need the perfect phone. But well what do you pay the price for

Cosmetic issues are not covered by the warranty.

My volume button has to be 3/4 of the way up before I can barely begin to hear any volume. What’s up with that?? Anybody have the same issue? Btw, I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Same issue here (iPhone 12 mini). Apple keeps getting worse and worse.
