I just upgraded to Big Sur, liking it for the most part. However, my Menu Bar is black. I've tried toggling back and forth between Light, Dark, and Auto, restarting between changes. Checked Screen Saver prefs. Still black. Any other ideas?

also, you can go into SystemPreferences>Accessibility under the Display tab and checkmark "Reduce Transparency" and the menubar will stay grey with black lettering.

i found that the menu bar changes colour depending on your desktop picture.
try changing the desktop pic.
I have the same problem, just stuck in light mode. Switching appearance settings between dark and light does not change the menu bar. Issue persists with restarts.
