Basecamp too slow in Big Sur
Garmin basecamp is too slow to be useful in OS Big Sur. Any remedies (other than uninstalling Big Sur)?

It appears that Garmin has disconinued support of Basecamp and is directing users to their new website Garmin Explore Website.
So if you must use it and want to revert to Catalina read this Apple document: Revert your Mac to a previous macOS version - Apple Support

Don't bother sending any reports to Apple because they can do nothing about Basecamp. That's Garmin's responsibility to make it compatible with Big Sur, not the other way around.
3D view only, sorry. 2d view is still not usable, I just checked. However my main concern was the MapInstall which worked out now installing maps on Montana 610. Slow, but worked.
Actually, in the macOS User Guide, regarding "Share analytics information from your Mac with Apple", they state: " . . . If you agree, we may share your crash data with Apple’s partners and third-party developers to improve their software, hardware, and services designed for use with Apple products. Apple may also provide such partners and third-party developers with a subset of analytics information that is relevant to that partner’s or developer’s software, hardware, and/or services . . ."
Use 3D view only.
Not great, but it works.
Indeed, that's a big help; thank you!
Using 2D or 3D views?
Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately, the Garmin Explore Website doesn't have a lot of features that Basecamp does. And I'm still hopeful; Garmin's latest version of Basecamp came out in late September 2020. Maybe they and/or Apple are working on getting things going again. So people, please send your crash reports to Apple. - On a related note, I had already noticed Basecamp slowing down some when Apple upgraded to their 64 bit operating system.
Hi, had same issues. Especially MapInstall didn't work though. Just downloaded basecamp 4.8.10 and after reboot it worked ok. Still some speed issues but can live with it. https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4449 Hope it works for you also. Cheers
Garmin now has a new version of BaseCamp for Mac, 4.8.11, which works well again for 2D view.
