Can Apple Carplay play lossless audio with USB stick?

I have Apple Carplay with my Nissan Micra and want to play lossless audio with an usb stick.

Is this possible with flac, aiff, alac, wav or other lossless formats?

CarPlay has absolutely nothing to do with music stored on a USB stick.
