Yes, the forums are moderated. If you post something that violates the terms of use, they will edit or remove your posts. But the fellow users responding here are NOT moderators, and moderators do not respond to user’s posts (they merely moderate them).

You as a user don’t get to dictate what anyone else says here. The moderators will step in if they see anything they feel needs addressing. So if they’re moderating your posts, then your language or content was out of line under the TOU and they stepped in.

It doesn’t matter where you are or where you bought it. What matters is where the original retail market that iPhone was originally intended for. Any iPhone leaving the factor in China or Taiwan intended for original authorized retail sale in Japan or S. Korea will make the shutter sound, and it cannot be turned off. It does not matter where else in the world that iPhone ends up at some point, it will always make the shutter sound. The consumer laws for new cameras imported into Japan and S. Korea for retail sale require the shutter sound be permanently enabled.

And you cannot remove iOS. There is no other operating system for an Apple iPhone.

Is the ringer off? On the left side of the phone switch the ringer to off, when it's off the phone shouldn't play the shutter noise. The top of the phone should have a brief drop down that says Silent Mode On. Try that out.

If the device was originally sold in Japan or South Korea, you can't silence the shutter.

There is no "fix". It's against the law.

What is the model number at: Settings - General - About - Model = ???

Did you try turning the ringer off?

Try turning on do not disturb. The phone shouldn't make any noise when it is on.
