No sound on after installing Big Sur

i I have a problem too
Unable to hear at maximum volume after installation
When the volume is at maximum I hear at 50 percent volume

This solved my problem too. I also tried the volume slider thing suggested but that didn't work.

Same here. No sound (and no 'internal speakers' in Sound setting) also no Siri (microphone)

Moreover, my AirPods continuously disconnecting from Mac and re-connecting to iPhone automatically.

I just installed it and am watching something on Safari. The sound works fine during the adverts but as soon as the show comes back on, the sound stops. I have to mute the tab and unmute and the sound comes back on. Not tried music yet.

thanks for the solution - it worked for me (i slid the 'output' up to max first, down to zero, then to the middle)
