Applications freeze after 25% on new iPhone 12 Pro Max with new phone

I tried the hard reset as indicated as a solution in other posts including turning Airplane mode on for 10 seconds and nothing helped to get the apps moving.

Only when I turned on cellular for application downloads did the apps start downloading again.

Why is this happening and how do I prevent it from happening again in the future.

This is very frustrating to have a new iPhone 12 and not have the apps download properly.

Hey there XPJX,

We're glad to hear you were able to finish downloading your apps, but we're also not able to provide a reason as to why it occurred in the first place.

We'd like to help answer your other question about preventing it from happening again by providing the following suggestions:

  1. We always recommend keeping your iPhone up to date. The latest for your model is iOS 14.2.1, but we also wanted to provide the resource that'll show how to first back up, then update: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
  2. We also recommend using a strong and stable Wi-Fi connection while downloading apps. We don't recommend using a VPN, like at a work office, as sometimes rules are set in place to prevent unauthorized downloads.
  3. Lastly, we recommend having at least a 50% battery(but preferably more) while downloading apps. Of course, being plugged into a charger works as well.

Have a good one!
