Rename an apple mouse.

I was having difficulty changing a name on my apple mouse. It wouldn't change using the standard way. However, after much research, I found a solution and wanted to share.

Step 1

Open System preferences and click on mouse.

Note: Ensure that the mouse with the incorrect name is connected.

Step 2

Now click “Set up Bluetooth mouse”.

Step 3

Now right click on the incorrect mouse name and choose “Rename”.

Step 4

While this dropdown is open, switch off the mouse and now rename it to whatever you want and click the “Rename” button. Give it about 20 /30 secs and switch back on your mouse. It should now be displaying as the name you have called it.
