Edit cities in the Clock widget

Question and answer... couldn't find out how to edit. Discovered that you go to the bottom of the widgets (after clicking on date and time in Big Sur) click "edit widget" - click on the 4x clocks to edit, they spin around to show list (and lines on the right to alter order) then just double click on a city, a search box comes up, type the city you need and do the same to the other 3 if required and save.

  1. click on date and time top right of screen default
  2. i have 4x world clocks
  3. bottom of widgets click ONCE on edit
  4. in edit mode click anywhere on the 4x clocks widget face
  5. It then spins around with 4x cities shown and lines on the right to drag and reorder
  6. On the city you want to change left or right click ONCE
  7. You will then see a search box and cities listed below
  8. Type the city you want in the search box and left click once on the city tick line
  9. Note - not every city is listed so I normally search google "world time zones" and choose a city in the same time zone close to the one i want
  10. When you have all the cities you wanted click "done" once for confirming edit and "done" once more to go back to the clock display

Hello dougfromlode,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about editing the Clock city in widgets.

You have the option to add clock for specific cities, or the world clock widget. Check by editing your Widgets: Use widgets in Notification Center - Apple Support

When you add the clock, click it to select the city on the back of the widget. Thanks and have a wonderful day.

I have this same issue but when I do as instructed the screen locks and I can't edit.

Steps.

  1. click date and bring up notification center
  2. Go to clocks and right click so I can edit
  3. Clocks spin showing me the current 4 cities.
  4. I try to double click to edit. System beeps at me. I can't edit. I also can't click 'done'. Nothing happens

I have to hit escape to get close out the notification center. I've tried removing and re-adding the widget.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Sorry to hear of your trouble.

To refresh:

  1. click once on the date / time at the top right to open the widget display
  2. at the bottom you will see "edit widgets" - click once
  3. on the cities (add widget if not showing they should be in the middle of your screen, scroll and choose the four cities widget)
  4. click once on the 4 cities widget (in editing mode where you should be)
  5. the widget spins around to show the 4 cities present in list format
  6. click once (assuming your trackpad is set up for one click) on a city in the list
  7. a search box appears at the top
  8. type in a city you need (if it doesn't show then use say Google to search world time zones and choose a city in the same time zone you need)
  9. Carry on by clicking once on the next city to change until you have all 4 you need
  10. click done - good luck

I am having the same problem. Since the Big Sur 11.1 update I cannot edit any widgets at all (Clock, reminders etc.) Take the world clock - I have tried numerous times by going into edit widgets and then into edit widget on the world clock. I then get the default list of 4 cities. I have tried clicking on the city names to change which city is displayed but nothing happens. Cannot click on done as that doesn't work either. I have the same problem with the reminders widget. I cannot edit it to change the list that os displayed. Nothing happens. Has anyone found a solution to this yet as it is really annoying.
