How do I remove a Screen Protector?

I’m sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask this, but is there a safe way to remove a TEMPERED GLASS screen protector? Mine is really cracked and I’m about to replace it. One video on YouTube tells me to use a knife and stick it under, then peel it off. I honestly don’t trust it because I could crack the actual screen. Any suggestions?
