I was watching a show on my macbook and the screen randomly froze so I turned it off and now the black screen is glowing, so it’s on but it is stuck on the black screen and is frozen. I tried doing “command + R” and “control + command + power button” but these didn’t work. Someone please help. When I press the power button it makes the power up sound, but still doesn’t turn on.

You've tried some great steps so far to try to work through the issue. You want to press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds, then once the device is fully powered off, press and release the power button and immediately press and hold Command (⌘)-R till you see an Apple logo or other image.
