Process com.apple.We using very high CPU, more than 100%.

After updating to macOS Big Sur on my mid 2015 macbook pro, I have been noticing that the process com.apple.We is frequently using more than 100% CPU heating up the laptop and making the fans go crazy.

Has anyone else also noticed this or is this only me?

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your help and reply. Yes, I noticed that the CPU utilisation came down as soon as I quit Safari web browser. I was watching an online tutorial course in one of the tabs whereas the same website was open in another tab for another online course but the video was on pause there. I am not sure which one of the tabs was the source of this high CPU utilisation. I couldn’t replicate this issue though. I will try again as per your advice and keep you posted

Regards
