Hi. I’m giving my old IPhone X to my mum as I’ve now got a 12 Pro. Am I able to let her use my Apple account on her phone to download apps, without her having access to all of my data, such as my Facebook Messenger messages, etc?
It would be best if she had her own Apple ID. You could use a new ID everywhere except the App Store/iTunes to do what you want or if you create a new ID, you can try setting up Family Sharing between the IDs if you want to be able to share purchases made with the IDs.
Before giving her the phone, do the steps in the article below to make it 'her' phone.

Thanks Eric. I’ve got a couple of email addresses so I’ll set her up a new ID with one of those but put my bank details in for it so that I cover the cost of apps, etc.
You are welcome. It may not accept your bank details on her ID unless you set up Family Sharing.
