delete iPhoto library

how do I delete my iPhoto library after migrating to photos? It is taking up 35GB of memory

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Throw it away and empty the Trash as you would any other items.

The media files are hardlinked, so deleting it won't free up nearly as much space as it appears.
