I can make outgoing calls and send texts, but not receive calls. Help

Take the active SIM card out of your old iPhone and install it in your new iPhone so that your new iPhone has the cellular service necessary to make and receive calls etc. Yes, you are correct.

Well, that didnt work. The problem is around the fact that the NEW sim card is 5G and for some reason this does not work.
Off to the Verizon store today! This phone is on a business account, so the business owner has to actually be there. ..Thanks for all your help. I think the instructions just are not adequately updated to whatever difference a 5G makes with the sim card. But the messages do tell me I must use the new 5 G sim card and not the one from my old phone. Just odd.
Good thing that you can make outgoing calls. That tells us that you should be receiving calls as well and perhaps a setting is not correct. If none of the suggested resolution work then also call your carrier.

Thank you so much. I was in error.......I actually cannot place a call or receive a call on my new phone. The instructions did not say to take the SIM card out of the old phone and put in the new phone. I have it boxed up ready to return........but I suspect I need that SIM card from the old phone. Am I correct?
