Is it no longer an option to select 3G only for the "Voice & Data" setting?

Hi. I just got an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I'm coming from an iPhone X (running iOS 13). With my previous phone, there was an option to select "3G" under the "Voice & Data" setting in within "Cellular". However, I noticed that this is not the case for my new phone. Is this no longer a supported option?

Context: I ask because my international plan/SIM is a 3G-only plan. Selecting "LTE" in the past made it such that data wouldn't work (it technically had LTE "bars", but wouldn't load anything unless I restricted my phone to 3G), so I'd manually set it to only 3G. Now that manually selecting 3G is no longer an option, I don't think my international plan would work anymore. Let me know and thanks!

Your International plans will work fine with your iPhone 12 Pro Max. You can leave the setting to LTE and the iPhone will drop down to 3G when needed on its own. When you choose LTE or 4G on iOS 14 then it tells the iPhone to restrict maximum. Your iPhone will pick up 3G as needed. I am speaking from personal experience during my recent travels overseas.

Thanks for your response, Axel! Previously, I had to restrict to 3G maximum because my iPhone wouldn't know that 4G wasn't working properly (so it just stayed there perpetually, and data didn't work). That's why I was hoping to force it to use 3G-only. I'm guessing that they took away the option, sadly (either with the newest generation of iPhones or as a part of iOS 14 changes).
