MacBook Pro login

After starting the MacBook and entering the password, the computer stays on the login page and a spinning circle appears. Nothing else happens. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Start up in Safe Mode, then normal boot could solve your issue.

Thank you for the idea. I tried safe mode and then rebooted, but back to the same spinning wheel.
