The taskbar icons at the top of the screen are too spaced

There are many taskbar icons at the top of the screen. The compact icon arrangement in the previous system version is very helpful, but the icon spacing in Big Sur is too large. The current macbook pro is not a touch screen. I think this is a waste of space. Many icons Unable to show

Flexible Space in Customize ToolBar Mac OS 11.1 Flexible Space in the Customize ToolBar does not work like in previous versions. The space if a thin vertical line and there is nothing flexible about it. In previous versions it would expand and contract depending on the amount of icons and the window size such as to continuously accommodate a well laid out icon display in the ToolBar. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this a bug.

What is the maximum number of menubar icons that you can have in top right corner of a macbookpro display with camera bezel Mac os randomly hides the overlflow icons on me and it is frustrating. Why doesn't apple fix this problem that they themselves created during the macbook pro silicon redesign? Its like the software and hardware divisions of the same company don't bother to work together (which seems un-apple). I shouldn't have to spend more money on an app (butler) to fix the problem of app menu icons randomly disappearing.
