AirPods not Switching Automatically to Mac

Just upgraded to Big Sur on my MacBook Pro (2017 15inch) and iMac (2015 21,5inch) to MacOS Big Sur with the promise of automatic switching between devices for my airpods pro. My AirPods auto switching doesn’t appear to be working and don't connect.

Unfortunately it only works between my iPad Pro 11inch and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Switching AirPods between devices I just bought a MacBook Air and my AirPods Pro wont seamlessly switch between my iPhone and my Mac. I always get a little notification at the top right corner that they are being detected but I have to press the connect button. If I do not press it the sound will come out through the speakers. I know its just a little click but I am really used to them just switching between my iPhone and iPad. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Airpods disconnecting from new Macbook I recently purchased a MacBook Air Version 11.3.1. Since purchasing, my airpods have been a continuous hassle that never happened with my old mac. They are continuously disconnecting from my macbook for no reason, or if any activity happens on my iphone it disconnects from my mac and connects to my phone. This has been SO frustrating! Especially if I'm working in a public, quiet place. Is there any way to fix this?

Same here. Since updating to Big Sur, my AirPods connect fine but I have to manually choose them instead of them automatically switching

Thanks for your response! But my problem remains! My AirPods Pro don’t connect.
