I have folders in mail to file old emails. These are vital emails. I loaded big sur a couple of days ago and the folders and emails were still there. When I logged on today, the folders and emails were no longer there. How do I get them back?

Move your mouse pointer to the right side of 'On My Mac' or to the right side of the name of your provider or to the right side of iCloud or Gmail or wherever you put the folders. Move to the right until you see a little arrow and click on it. Your folders should be visible now
