Hi,
I am having trouble with my Iphone 8 Plus Freezing since the latest IOS update was installed. The problem only seems to occur when i am trying to make a call or if i am in my contacts section of the phone and the freezing only lasts fro several seconds. I have tried a reboot but this has not worked? Any suggestions?

These are the basic troubleshooting steps you should perform:
A "forced" restart of your 8+, using these instructions:--> Force restart iPhone – Apple Support
or
Something could have gone wrong during the latest update procedure.
I would try to install a fresh copy of iOS. To do this, create a full backup of your iPhone (1), then restore it to factory settings and, in the end, set it up as new (2).
When done, restore data from your previously made backup (3).
