Whatsapp Voice Recording Soundeffect Extremely Loud

Hey. Maybe some can help me here. I have an iPhone 11 pro and when I want to record a Whatsapp Voice Message there is the standard "beep" soundeffect. There is also the soundeffect when I cancel the recording. Those sounds are extremely loud and on max volume. I am not able to lower them.. Already checked the settings.. My girlfriend is able to lower those sounds with the normal notification slider in the sound settings.

Also I tried reinstalling the app.. No change

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14

Hey,

I found the solution myself. Whatsapp was not the problem.

Go to your settings -> sounds & haptics -> system haptic (needs to be enabled)

This fixed it for me!

Now you can control the volume for each notification again.

I am having the same issue- I contacted WhatsApp. It took me like 3 pages of writing until they understood the problem and finally wrote a short email saying that this is - and I quote “an intended functionality of the application and its features”

!!!

Thank you so much. It worked perfectly.

I think it might be a bug because after turning on and off the haptic feature I can control the WhatsApp voice button volume by simply adjusting the ringer volume...

But could this not be a problem in hardware or the general iphone settings?

I contacted Whatsapp and hope they habe a solution. Otherwise it is not an app problem.

In fact The cause of problem is faulty interaction between IOS system haptic settings and WhatsApp and our friend Felixheli have just explained the solution...
