Calendar notification snooze in Big Sur?

We just installed Big Sur on our iMacs. Now when we get calendar notifications, we only have an option that says "snooze", with no option to select how long we want to snooze it for. This is really annoying and much less helpful than before, when we had multiple options (1 hour, 1 day, etc.). Are we just missing something here? Is there a way around this? (Note: we've tried clicking and holding "snooze", but no options come up when we do that.) Sure would love some help with this. Thanks.

It is a headache but there is a way ... not all intuitive, though. On the notification, hover the cursor/arrow above the Options button. The date will change to a >. Click on the >. Snooze options will pop up.

That said ... one of the things that has kept me as a Mac user for 30+ years is the intuitive interface. I know Apple can do better with this feature.

I was happy to see more options in the updated snooze function. HOWEVER, it would be nice to have the option returned to say "Snooze for 1 day", or something in between 1 hour and "The End of Time". What kind of snarky person came up with that? Are you not-so-silently judging those of us who use the snooze function to schedule and remind ourselves of things in different ways than you do? And what does "the end of time" snooze function even mean--isn't that like dismissing the alert altogether, in which case, what's the point of having that snooze option ? I just don't understand. PLEASE, just add 1 day, 2 days, 1 week, something normal.

Dear Apple,

the "remember me later option" is back, but nothing is fine!

What's the difference between 5 and 15 minutes? Why this small gap?

Where are 6 hours osr 12 hours and most important: 1day ??????

Why didn't your hear, what the users want.

Why not give the possibility to declare up to 6 free reminder periods in the settings.

Why do want want to rule the user?

I can't understand.......

Yes I agree- I really appreciate this feature being added back, but I would still like it to be back to the options that were there previously. I think it would be great to have a longer duration of time. I have different events and sometimes it is nice to be able to snooze them for longer periods of time. However, I am happy that it is longer than 5 minutes now. Thank you!

Applsolute foolery once again on behalf of bored staff at Apple that need something to do - just leave it alone.

If it's NOT broken DON'T fix it! Spend some time fixing actual issues and making improvements not circling around the same pool attacking your tail.

Apple the bigger it gets the worse it gets (when it comes to software) - read this and weep bored engineers I'm sure you have plenty of spare time

Why won't Apple provide a Calendar Preference that allows me to set the various Snooze options, like 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 1 day, etc? I don't like being limited to their idea of what Snooze durations we should have.

I think that is exactly how we would all like it to be. I seriously wonder if the people at Apple themselves don't get annoyed about what the development department is putting together. Or maybe they use Outlook as a calendar...?? :-\

Snooze notifications are back! Yes, as I was writing an email to Apple about this issue this morning. I started taking screen shot's of the pop up notifications on my Monterey (12.0.1) test machine and I double glanced and noticed the notifications are back! I almost fell off my chair.

It is somewhat a little different (Instead of the "Snooze" button, it is now called "Options" and they have added 'Snooze for....') The ordering is back to front like ('Snooze until 30 minutes before') is not sorted ascending. It should be '5 mins, 15 mins, 30 mins, but is descending from 30 mins. Weird.

Below is one screen shot of Catalina's snooze options and on the the bottom are the new Monterey snooze options. You will notice there's also a new handy drop down that shows the calendar.

Now, if only they could bring back the 'Close' button to replace the awful 'x' on the top left of the notification. What was wrong with the Close button? It was all in one place and now you have to move from right to left to highlight the 'x' button. The 'x' I feel is too small and cumbersome.
