iphone keyboard

iPhone 12mini and iOS 14.2.

I don't know what this feature is called but I seem to not have it any more or I've somehow turned it off.

When composing a text or email, the ability to be able to move the cursor around by way of pressing on the keyboard is gone. I don't think there's a button to turn on/off this feature.

Anyone know how to get it back?

There was a very useful feature that I had come to depend on, on the 7. If you are in text mode with a keyboard (message, notes, email, etc) and you press down on the keyboard for a second or so the keyboard would grey out and while continuing to press down you move your finger you will move the cursor sideways or up and down allowing you to make quick editing corrections. the iPhone 12 Pro is not letting me do this. Has this feature been removed or is there a setting I can change?

iPad on screen keyboard controls Hi there, Couldn’t find any threads about this annoying “feature” so far. In iOS14 and above there was keyboard options added to the screen when an external keyboard is used to type stuff. These options are always floating in middle or corner. the problem is it is preventing me to for example click “save” or “send” in many apps as these buttons are also in the same corner, or it covers other information when moved to opposite corner. There doesn’t seem to be an option to just get rid of it for whatever reason - unless I’m missing it? Any idea how to just disable it?

Keypad position is annoying This is how keypad position is when I want to type something... can’t see what I’m typing... this is really annoying... I have upgraded iOS to latest 14.2 [Image Edited by Moderator to Remove Personal Information]

Thank you for the answer. This is exactly my situation, I'm coming from an iPhone XS which had 3D Touch.

Appreciate the fix.

Try and long press the spacebar, that should turn your keyboard into a trackpad.

If you’re coming from an older iPhone you might have used something called 3D Touch where you pressed harder anywhere on the keyboard to trigger trackpad mode, but that method is gone on newer iPhones.
