HI, with my old iphone 7 i could select multiple photos from photos app/folder and email them to myself or others. not working at all with the new 12mini. Any help you can give me is appreciated. Just bought the phone last week.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're running into an issue sharing photos via email. How are you trying to send them? Are you selecting Share from the Photos app or adding them to your email in the Mail app?
If you go to the Photos app, tap a photo to share, you should be able to select multiple photos then choose Mail as your share option.
From the Mail app, are you selecting to Insert Photo or add attachment? If choosing Insert Photo, you should be presented with a similar option of being able to select multiple photos to include.
Can you tell us the iOS version you have installed on your IPhone? The current iOS version is 14.2. You can verify this in Settings > General > About.
