Safari update 14.0.1 issue uploading files
Is anyone else unable to attach or upload a file after Safari update 14.0.1. I'm using Mohave 10.14.6
iMac, OS X 10.10
Seriously? Can't they just send out a "reconnect" fix instead...

Same here. After updating Safari to 14.0.1 I was unable to upload any files. Called Apple support on 11/16/2020. They had me on hold for 45 minutes. When they finally connected me with a technician, I was on the line with him for another 40 minutes and resolved nothing. He suggested that I install Chrome or Firefox. Unbelievable, Apple installs a crappy update, they can’t fix it, and their solution is to install someone else’s software.

sorry but resintalling my OS and all my Apps is not easier then using Chrome for a few weeks till they publish a fix.
I would never take that risk. We dont need a bandaid.
Chrome still works for me. Safari not so much...

Have the same problem, but Chrome is working fine here
I can drag and drop but not attach.
It'd be handy if there was a simpler way than a full OS reinstall i.e. a terminal command or sumfink.
Ah! so the bodge is to find Safari 14.0 rather than a full reinstall...
Same problem here. It's unconscionable that Apple would create such a MESS! Fix it!!! I loosing confidence in Apple products and software. . . sad!
Odd thing is that I can still upload img files to Facebook using Safari 14.01 with no problem.

I'm having the exact same issue (Safari update with Mohave 10.14.6) and it's very disturbing. Makes me feel like not doing the updates when offered in the future.
Has anyone found a solution?
Same problem here. Only Safari is affected, upload works well on Chrome.
