Same here. After updating Safari to 14.0.1 I was unable to upload any files. Called Apple support on 11/16/2020. They had me on hold for 45 minutes. When they finally connected me with a technician, I was on the line with him for another 40 minutes and resolved nothing. He suggested that I install Chrome or Firefox. Unbelievable, Apple installs a crappy update, they can’t fix it, and their solution is to install someone else’s software.

Me too: Macbook Pro and Macbook Air. Have not tried my iMac yet.

Mojave 10.14.6 Safari 14.0.1 Cannot upload to FTP sites or Google Drive. Also cannot attach in Gmail. It won't go to the Browse step and show any of my files.

I was thinking about an Apple Watch for Christmas, but with this and my wife's 3 year old iPad gathering dust, I'm having second thoughts about Apple IN GENERAL.

Yes, that seems to be the "solution"...reinstalling Mojave or installing Catalina automatically loads the older, 13.1.3 version of Safari. I was always hesitant to "leave" Mojave since it had always been really reliable and I'm wary of "new and improved" until it's been proven out for a year or more but I can say that Catalina seems to work OK. There are differences, however (especially in that "iTunes" is now changed to "Music") and as a result, iPhone and iPad device backup looks a lot different as well.

Apple's updates today did not fix it for me. I still can not upload or attach files unless in some cases I can drag and drop them. Wow, a major problem with Safari. I took ptjunior’s advice and wrote a polite and factual email to Tim Cook. You would think this is something they would be all over, otherwise folks like me will move to Chrome or Firefox permanently.

Going to chrome permanently—just miss the airdrop feature.

Considering how much apple products are, every update is 1000% terrible and apple is always on the slow end of fixing bugs. Using end-user data (user reported glitches and issues) to fix your programming problems is NOT what I’d call “good customer service”.
