iOS 14.1 and 14.2
interstate highways are not labeled. Most map related apps use Apple Maps, which renders them all useless, on this high priced machine.
anyone have a solution?
Apple doesn’t even let you control your data. I deleted the app. Data is supposed to be deleted. When I re-installed the app after shutting down the machine, all the favorites are still there.

I suppose it could be something that only happens on a 12.9” iPad Pro 4th generation (or only on yours). My wife’s 10.5” Pro on 14.2 and my 12.9” Pro 2nd generation both display Interstate badges.
Besides your own, how many 12.9” 2020 Pro iPads have you tested? Have you reported the issue to Apple Support yet? (Click on “Contact Support” at the top right to start the process.)
Could be a database error for the highways near you, but the software is capable of showing them.
The Interstate highways near me are labeled with the standard shield logo and number. At lower zoom levels, some that have local nicknames have the nicknames shown in some areas and the logos in other areas.
Local roads are labeled. INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS are not. Tried your suggestions to no avail. Mapquest and goole maps have the correct labels. Apple Maps and all of the apps that use it have no labels on interstate highways under any conditions on the iPad 12.9 2020. They are fine on older iPads.
Local names are not useful I need the interstate numbers, like on normal maps. There are no interstate numbers displayed for anywhere in the country at any zoom level. I sent a screenshot. The tech did the remote screen sharing to confirm. The software on this iPad is useless without these labels.
The labels are simply missing from the software.
As I said everything is there on my iPad 2 and 4. This problem is on the 12.9 Pro, iOS 14.1 and 14.2.
