Hey guys,
I recently got an iPhone 12 and after a few days i noticed the camera took in some cases up to 8-9 seconds to turn on completely. The device is brand new and has barely anything on it.
When the camera is selected it displays a black screen with all the grid and selectable menus but no picture for quite a while. After a device restart the problem went away but i am worried it will reoccur.

Hello... I too have an iPhone 12. My camera too was very slow fully opening when opening the app. For everyone out there, this will be obvious. I decided to transfer a vast amount of pictures from my phone to my laptop. Upon doing so, this problem has gone away. I will continue to transfer pictures, to free up memory.
My iphone 12 pro camera has been very slow to open. Sometimes taking up to 1 minute to turn on .

im having the same issues. Only recently started but annoying as **** when using the camera or apps that require its use like scanning apps in the super market.
has Apple acknowledged this as an issue?
seems like only solution is to start dumping photos.

Same with my IPhone 11 it is really annoying and this has been going on for 5 days I’m really worried because I just got this phone 2 weeks ago there’s no cracks or anything…. I even don’t hear my notifications sound this is so frustrating my iPhone 6s literally works better 🤦🏾♀️
