I don't see why not.
Universal binary—apps and other executable that run natively on both Apple silicon and Intel-based Mac computers.
or

Every well-behaved Mac Application that works under Big Sur should work on day 1 on Apple-Silicon Macs.
This wonderful trick is due to the Rosetta-2 emulator program, which translates intel machine instructions on-the-fly, and allows them to execute on Apple-Silicon. Translated segments are kept on hand for as long as the Application runs, so most Applications will get faster as they run.
When developers Get around to issuing Apple-silicon native versions they will generally release them as "universal binaries" which contain BOTH Intel-code and Apple-Silicon Code, selected at run-time.
Hi How did you get Rosetta to instal? When i tried to install Microsoft office it asked me if it should install Rosetta but when I click install after a few seconds I get the message this software can't run on this system. I have even tried to run via putty and its refusing any help ill really appreciate the Mac Pro is still rand new and I am in Kenya.
Rosetta is used only on Apple-Silicon M1 systems. It is not needed on Intel Macs.
¿exactly what model MacBook Pro, by year, early mid late, screen size, processor speed, and number of ThunderBolt ports?
I doubt because any application I try to install asks me to install Rosetta then it brings that error "This update is not allowed on this system". Is there a way to check if I have Rosetta and can i uninstall and install it if it exists?
There is only a way to (using Terminal) to manually invoke the update of Rosetta, which is not working for you.
Perhaps your virus scanner or some other software is preventing Rosetta from loading. Try the operation from Safe Mode, where third-party add-ons do not load..
Is it possible Rosetta is already installed, and the installed version cannot be replaced by the other version?

Yes... I'm working right now with a M1 and Matlab...
Hi
Its a MacBook Pro 17,1, chip Apple M1, MacOs Big Sur,13" 2020 Model. The error I get when I click to install Rosetta is "This update is not allowed on this system.
The only guidance we have is the article I cited above.
The developer site suggests iTunes may try to install it to support visualizer.
Is there a site I can download the Rosetta directly and instal?
