Hotspot privacy/security

I have been using my iPhone hotspot to play on Xbox live for years. It seems after I updated to ios14 I can no longer use party chat on Xbox live. Is there some sort of privacy feature I can turn off so that the hotspot will work correctly again? Is this a bug that needs to be fixed?
