Nov 12th upgrade of Final Cut Pro10.4.9 says I needs Mojave 10.14.6 which I have but still wont let me install

Where are you seeing Mojave works? Post a URL or screen shot? The Apple web site say this
Yep - misleading for sure when you do a search for Final Cut Pro X and Mojave and the link on Apple support that comes up first, say's it will. Thanks for the clarification.
FCPX 10.4.9 was released on Aug. 25th not released on Nov. 12th. FCP 10.5 is the current version released on Nov. 12th.. It requires Catalina 10.15.6 or later. There was a mistake on some web pages, including the Apple FCP tech specs page, on Nov. 12th that said the application would run on 10.1.4.6. The web pages were corrected. The document you show is muddled and misleading as it makes not mention of the current version FCP 10.5, which it should have done.
