Canon iSensysMF4350d

Good Day to All,

I have a Canon isensys MF4350d, attached to either my, MAC MINI server(2.66ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB memory) with MAC OS X Server 10.6.4, or a MAC Book Pro MAC OS X 10.5.8 via USB

NO matter what I do, I can't get it to print..I've already downloaded the drivers from the apple website (CanonPrinterDrivers2.3.dmg) but still nothing...I'm guessing either my printer driver is wrong or my settings are wrong. If it's the driver, where can I get the proper driver?can anyone post a link?if it's my settings, what must I change?

Pls and THnx for the help!

Mac OS X (10.5.8)

The portion of the log you have managed to paste is sufficient. I can see that the Canon module cntdbmu is failing. This would suggest you don't have a direct (uninterrupted) path from the Mac to the Canon. If you have the printer connected to one Mac via USB and you are trying to connect to this share from another Mac, then this could explain the error. But if you are connecting directly to the printer from this Mac via USB and you are getting this error, then either the USB cable is faulty or there is something blocking the communication, such as the built-in software firewall. With a direct USB connection you should be able to select to print and from the Special Features menu, select the Printer Info button. This will either connect to the printer, indicating that you do have a direct path, or fail to connect to the printer. Can you confirm if this occurs.

Thanks for the reply. This result would indicate that the Mac is able to communicate with the printer so I don't understand why you are unable to print. At this stage I am not sure what else to suggest.

So, can you confirm your setup.

Is the Mac connecting directly to the MF4350d via USB or is there something in between?

Is one Mac able to print to the MF4350d but another Mac is not? And this other Mac is connecting directly to the MF via USB? In other words, it is not connecting to the printer via a USB hub or is it not trying to connect to the printer via a Mac share.
