Dual sim with e-sim as secondary

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max running on the latest iOS version.

I'm using dual sim for primary I'm using regular sim card and e-sim as my secondary. Both have internet plans and both are working just fine. But When I use the primary conection for whatsapp call it will be disconnected all the time. I have disable "allow cellular data switching" but it's still doing the same thing. But When I use the secondary it is not a problem. The thing is I want to use the primary as my main internet provider and the secondary just as a backup. What should I do?

Thanks for the reply.

I did switch both the cellular data and the default voice line to the primary and switch to cellular data switching to off but it still doing that to the whatsapp call via my primary and it is still working fine if I use my secondary line. How to resolve this matter ?

No. But I turn the voice & data to LTE instead of voLTE. Does that matter ?

WhatsApp uses data to carry audio calls over its network. When you setup the DUAL SIM (eSIM + Physical SIM) you were asked which line would be the primary data line and which line would be the Default Voice Line. I believe that this setting is not set correctly on your iPhone.

Open Settings ➔ Cellular ➔ Cellular Data : Set this to PRIMARY ➔ Default Voice Line : Set this to PRIMARY

Open Settings ➔ Cellular ➔ Cellular Data : Set Allow Cellular Data Switching to OFF.

Do you, by any chance, have Low Data Mode set to ON for your Primary Line?

Shouldn't however worth a try to turn VoLTE ON and see if WhatsApp works on that line. I am assuming that VoLTE is set to ON on the secondary line. Give it a shot.
